This effect is also present in 14.04. It switches to english layout
randomly. BUT, why could it switch to english, when there is no english
layout present. I deleted the english layout, when I installed the

I think Ubuntu was NOT tested on a system with 2 NICs. I commented out
thes sleep lines and it will boot without issues. My
/etc/network/interfaces contains eth0 and eth1 and these static
interface definition will remain there, since I use NIS. Former Ubuntu
releases had no problem with this
