I noticed that if I curl router:9100 (that's where the dd-wrt printer
daemon listens) then the printer will print the HTTP request.
The printer also works fine when connected to a computer via USB.

I disabled cups app-armor, just in case but it didn't help.

Title:
can't print to network printer
Status in “cups” package in Ubun
Public bug reported:
I have an HP LaserJet 1022 connected to dd-wrt. I can telnet to port
9100, but when I try to print nothing happens. When I watch the print
queue with system-config-printer, it seems like it is working but
nothing happens.
