no way
it does not create any "/dev/usb/lpx" but a new "/dev/lpx"
with the ubuntu live cd it created /dev/lp1
with my installed ubuntu 13.10 it created /dev/lp0
therefore I typed this command:
lpadmin -p test -E -v parallel:/dev/lp0 -P /etc/cups/ppd/texto.ppd
(or /dev/lp1)
the jobs stay in the
seeing that the ubuntu 13.10 live cd gives different performance, I started to
try other live cds
debian wheezy no way, worse than ubuntu

printer with "text" driver
and all performs the same, no difference, the terminal command "lp -d text
-oraw test.txt" prints
once every time after usb cable reconnection
then I connected my HP desk
booted with live cd 13.10
installed only the usb dot matrix printer, "text only" driver
the first job prints immediately
then it needs for every job to be printed a usb cable reattach
after reconnecting it waits for 15 seconds and then prints out
next job stays in the queue forverer until usb cable
