Hi,
I've got the same annoying problem using unity 11.10,and I've just got a work
around : I've replaced zenity by yad (requires yad package installation of
course and to add it to the dconf-editor desktop>unity>panel whitelist)

this bug is always alive and is present in xubuntu too (12.04).
