about 2 seconds, then crashing all windows.

Today, I also ran into this issue. Wifi was working and I could
successfully ping Google's DNS 8.8.8.8.
However, pinging google.com didn't work: "Name or service not known"
The workaround in comment #6 does the trick for me:
sudo rm /etc/resolv.conf
sudo ln -s /run/systemd/resolve/stub-resolv.co
Forgot to mention, I have a fresh install from the daily artful image on

If you have chosen to login automaticaly, logoff and in the logon screen
you'll notice the keyboard has changed (icon next to clock). Now just

For backing up and restoring trivial data, especially user home
directories, Deja dup is (indeed) a good alternative. The restore
problem which I have/had from NAS to the (external) usb disk is a
permission problem, which I noticed too with other rsync programs and
the command-line rsync.
