On 22.04:
1. Install ASHPD Demo
https://flathub.org/apps/details/com.belmoussaoui.ashpd.demo from
Flathub
2. Within the app make a background portal request with auto start
enabled (you must accept the prompt from GNOME Shell)
3. Note the contents of
~/.config/autostart/com.belmoussaoui.ashpd.de
Public bug reported:
With 1.14.3 the background portal creates a broken autostart file (it

Well I would say https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1424201 isn’t properly

It appears Fedora's Firefox package is build with PGO. Is Ubuntu's .DEB
package built with PGO as well?
There's also this documentation from Mozilla: https://firef
The backported input thread patches mainly laid a foundation to solve
this issue. Mutter still needs more work to take advantage of the new
input thread. That is why there isn't an improvement in GNOME 40.
This is described here: https://blogs.gnome.org/shell-dev/2021/01/21

Sorry this is a bit late, but here once again are the speedometer
benchmarks. This time I made sure to include the package version.
I used a different computer than my first test but the conclusion is
still the same: Firefox deb is beaten by alternative packages of firefox
