Are there any working workarounds there until it is fixed ?
I've 1.2.0-0ubuntu0.16.04.2 from proposed, as described above, but still cannot
connect to my anyconnect vpn, I need a workaround...

Still the case in 13.10 !!
For me playing Wav files belongs to the core functionalities from an os, so I
hope it will be fixed soon ! It the 3rd version from ubuntu not beeing able to
play wave files... not really a good point , not sure If we don't need to
reopen bug #1, because the war against
starting gnome-control-center with root is working, but produce following
