I am pretty sure everybody here already knows what I am going to say but in
case some newbie like me happens to be suffering from this same bug, a quick
and dirty fix is to run the following script every time the keyboard layouts
disappear. It is clearly not the most elegant solution but it is
A Custom Shortcut added in the keyboard configuration under the key
combination SUPER+O is ignored. If I repeat the same process but
instead select SUPER+K, the shortcut works as intended.
This is in spite of the fact that the problem combination SUPER+O is not
used anywhere, or at least it does

Since that bug has been reported as fixed in 2010, I'd say it has made a
come back in Noble Numbat now in 2024. I thus wonder if anyone will
ever see this message of mine and in case I do not have any feedback I
might report it as a new bug soon.
