Yeah, I saw some. Just don't understand the following: as I understood
(maybe incorrectly) that from numerous discussions the problem is with
XKB (which has a separate repository) but the patche

Gedit doesn't check whether a file already ends with the newline
character. It just silently adds an extra newline character and even
doesn't the last empty line (like other text editors and IDE's do).

Daniel, did you check whether Ctrl+C, Ctrl-V, etc. work when Pointer
Location option is enabled? I cannot understand it from your post.

with keyboard shortcuts is considered better?
Here is how I see it works in Windows and Ubuntu.
How it works in Windows:
(I press Ctrl) + (I release Ctrl) = the mouse pointer is shown.
(I press Ctrl
On my laptop, the fonts get larger each time. Temporary workaround which
helps me is changing the font scale in Tweaks tool (Fractional Scaling
doesn't help).
