just after pressing Windows+L, but that's annoying. And doing so sends
all my windows into mess.

Installed `6.8.0-58-lowlatency #60.1-Ubuntu` from proposed as this
version has a lot of amdgpu fixes added, but the problem still occurs.
These still occur in `dmesg`:

Raspberry Pi has different architecture, uses HDMI differently than

This is absolutely awesome others have this problem and report it!
This is related to #2098670 on 6.11 HWE that has been confirmed, but has
lowered priority.
If any of you could try HWE kernel on Noble and report results there it
would be nice.
Workaround: downgrading to 6.8.0-49-generic prevent
I downgraded to `6.8.0-49-generic` and so far after a night I didn't
unlock to broken main screen.

After main screen goes into "sluggish/IRQ spam" mode, I can close the
lid and work normally... until system goes to sleep. Unlock screen
doesn't go back on the HDMI screen. Opening lid does nothing.
Fiddling with Ctrl+Alt+Fx let me move to the console with a HUGE lag,
where I can log in and `sudo

OK, in my case my Lenovo L28u-30 doesn't have option to disable
autoswitch.
What I noticed on 24.04, however, is that if I lock the screen with 🪟+L
and the notebook (Lenovo P16s) screen goes full blank and then I turn

This is Gnome bug I presume that manifests mostly on Ubuntu (clash with
Canonical's tweaks) with some HDMI monitors (mostly Lenovo). The same
monitors work as intended under Windows.

I confirm freeze on workspace switch with two screens, main being the
external one. In my case it's Ubuntu 23.04, there were no such problems
with 22.04. The "upgrade" solve some other issues, mostly with screen
energy saving, but now this annoying one happens.

Interesting thing is that I've reinstalled Kubuntu recently, then added
Wayland. Plasma on Wayland seem to disable screens correctly.
I've installed `ubuntu-desktop` and switch again to Gnome... and screens
remain backlighted. This time I haven't added any extensions.
