Since the installation of DKMS does not show any differences (i.e. the systems
sticks on the older alsa driver), I assume, that I did some previous tries too
much. So I will reinstall the System (maybe switch to 13.10) and close this
ticket.

As I know that the sound worked initially, it could be (but I'm not sure) that
the sound disappeared after installing my DVB-S card (which needed some
fiddling until it worked stable)...
Is it possible, that the module bt878 causes a problem?

file.
The AlsaInfo

doesn't show this part anymore - but there is still no sound on my analog
output...

I used teh Ubuntu Software Center to install it - therefore I can't say if
there was a problem during istallation.
Therefore I used now the manual installation via "sudo dpkg -i ...".
I could not see any problems (error messages) - but the result is the same in
the AlsaInfo output: "Driver versi
Installed the latest driver as described in your link, but there is still no
sound...
