I got it working on a 2015 MacBook Air 7.2
From a 23.04 fresh installation it didin't work neither with a 22.04 fresh
installation. I tried all the tricks I found over internet and nothing worked.
I then had first to install an old Ubuntu 20.04 and block the version of the

It looks like the gnome bug does acknowledge it only works for 'click'
mode (I use sloppy) so presumably when that gets fixed (and it looks
like they're still thinking about it!) and released then both mine and
yours will too.

not fix the main annoying bug for me where clicking titlebar doesn't
raise the window anymore (on X at least) - #2013216.

I've seen this in my logs too, QUITE a lot in fact

But as far as I can tell it doesn't have any effect (GNOME 44.0
certainly has its problems but I was getting it in 43.x too and
this should be fixed when ubuntu upgrades to gnome 44.1 which will
hopefully be soon! memory leak bugs that were fixed are also affecting
me (as well as this very annoying bug)

Since there appears to be upstream patches in kernel 6.0 and Mesa 22.3.1
which fix this, perhaps it would be possible to backport those to the
versions in Ubuntu 22.10? If not, would it at least be possible to
upload such packages to Lunar so that there's an option which doesn't
involve reinstalli
i strongly believe that this issue has been fixed with newer versions of

I see frequent (multiple times per day) hangs on my Lenovo ThinkPad X1
Carbon Gen 10. When this occurs, part of the image tears away and X
becomes unusable. Sometimes the cursor continues to move for a short
time after the fact. In order to recover, I must SSH into the mach
I mounted a tmpfs in ~/tmp and FireFox can read from there.
I think firefox can read from /home (created a /home/dummy.html file
which FireFox could read).

Scrolling up and down in a Files window, in a directory with many files,
the scrolling is erratic and seems to often jump to the bottom of the
view.
It happens only when scrolling while hovering the actual files (eg.
using the mouse wheel). If hovering the scrollbar instead,
This update makes it possible to connect to VPNs where the "cipher" (now
"data-ciphers") option is needed, as long as the connection is manually

The Gnome settings interface however, still looks for the "cipher"

upgrading or requires changing distro, and makes Ubuntu unusable for
many enterprises. We don't accept user/password combination so a
fallback to that from Kerberos isn't possible and moving the ccache

I tried reinstalling both and rebooting but no luck, also, sometimes the
settings just work, but when i close the window and try opening it
