Some follow-up.
My wifi is disabled by default.
Even being able to connect to an OpenVPN, the menu is not able to
disconnect an OpenVPN connection (as it does not know it was up).
As the reporter, I can only see the correct status using gnome setting.

Same here. I'm using lang pt_BR. I upgraded from 17.10.
There is no text in the gnome top menu item which open the wired
connections. Translation issues?
The menu does not list any wireless settings/connection as if I had no
wireless adapter. I do and it list and works when I use nmcli.

Hello,
I installed ubuntu 16.04 on the vintage asus eeepc 701.
However, i915 is giving me warnings on dmesg and it is unstable, specially on
vt-switch (I cannot go back to X).
I'll attach what dmesg shows me.

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: xorg 1:7.7
Btw, I installed the package from new Ubuntu version on 14.04 without
problem and it solved my problem. Would it be possible to backport 2.2.x
to 14.04?

Yes, it works on new systems. However, isn't this a bug for a LTS release?

I'm trying to use a Olivetti mobile modem in Ubuntu 14.04.
My system is fully updated but modem is simply not recognized.
It seems that version 2.2.0 fixes this. However, it is not available for 14.04.

Hello,
I recently upgrade to 14.04. My system uses fglrx provided by 14.04.
When I lock manually the screen, I get no problem. I can even sleep the system

Hello,
This is an easy fix. transmission-qt.desktop reference a non existing
transmission-qt icon. It should use the same icon as gtk interface. So,
the .desktop file should be updated to have:
Icon=transmission
Instead of:

The icon is provided by transmission-common. Ple

I didn't had problems with layout until upgrade to 13.10.
The default keyboard layout is "abnt2 (br)/Português (Brasil)" and I
have a second layout for "Inglês (EUA)/English us_intl". Even with the
trayicon showing "Pt", what I really get is "us_intl" layout. If I

As Carlos said in comment #150, the fix does not solve the problem. Now I
always get a menu bar but the menu is useless.
When the problem appears, all menu items, enable or disabled, do nothing when
clicked.
It is not a calc/base specific issue as I got this in writer.

@tanqazx,
You can removed libreoffice-gtk. It'll get the upstream look and no
global menu.
I just got the same problem that zhengpeng-hou (#14) reported. When I
click to open a file from a browser (which uses xdg-open), I generally
get no menu.
This bug is definitely not fixed.
