What does this status change mean? What should I do now? I'm thinking
maybe I should retro back to Lubuntu 11.10, but I'm not sure how to do
that.

Frequently, when I bootup and then go online when I click any link on
the browser screen, Firefox stops, and also my computer locks up. Then I
reboot into recovery mode, and choose "fix broken packages" (dpkg). Then
I can browse ok for awile, then it frequently crashes again,
