empathy needs to support OTR e
I'm affected by this problem. My account is not new, and I do not use
two-factor authentication. The only workaround I've found is to reboot
and hope it works next time, or remove and readd my account in Online
Accounts (and repeat when the problem happens again two or three reboots
later).

It seems that in spite of the good work of Jordan and other volunteers,
development of this widely desired feature is falling through the
cracks. Will it be possible to regroup and finish this work if jprvita
is not available to help?

Steps to reproduce:
1. Right-click on a channel name in the sidebar.
2. Select the "Auto-join on connect" checkbox.
3. Select it again.
Expected behavior:
-Checkbox becomes checked after Step 2 above.
-Checkbox becomes unchecked after Step 3 above, resulting in the channel be
