Recently Banshee crashes for me every time I start it after it's been
running for about 10 seconds. I've tried deleting the banshee-1 folders
in .config and .cache and rescanning the music library but it still
happens every time. The problem also occurs with the latest package
You're right it is a corner case, the only type of situation I could see
it being a problem would be e.g.: while someone was looking at the about
box they switch desktops to answer an Instant message, and afterwards
can't figure out why clicking on the desktop doesn't work.

Yes, but if you access the about box from a Nautilus window it still
makes the desktop unresponsive.
