Confirmed
I didn't enable the apparmor profile either, and I haven't done a clean
install in ages.
BTW I just read https://help.ubuntu.com/lts/serverguide/apparmor.html
and learned that you need to do
sudo ln -s /etc/apparmor.d/usr.bin.firefox /etc/apparmor.d/disable/
to keep the firefox profile disable
Yes, Firefox is working again now. No more black windows.

It's still there.
This happens SOME times with SOME hardware. You cannot really test it.
See #10 for what happens, and for the solution.

Same problem here (Macbook Pro 2013, Vivid, Unity).
Would it be possible, as a work-around, to disable 3-finger taps using

Same here, using a Macbook Pro 11,3 with NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M.
Changing the resolution and clicking Apply blackens the screen and
freezes up the machine. A hard reboot is necessary.

A partial workaround: use right-click and Move To... a random folder.
Then move it back to the desktop. At least the links then will line up
neatly to the left.

I'm not using Virtualbox.

Upgraded today from 11.04 to 11.10.
If I click on Home Folder in the launcher nothing happens, except my desktop
