I finally found a part of the problem.
In the file /usr/share/icons/elementary-xfce/index.theme
There's the line :
Inherits=adwaita,gnome,hicolor
if it's replaced by (notice a to A change in adwaita)
Inherits=Adwaita,gnome,hicolor
That's because the directory of Adwaita had a "A" not a "a
Change to adwaita-icon-theme because it affect all KDE apps on latest LTS
xubuntu.

I mount home directory from a NAS. They are mounted as CIFS.
I changed lightdm init script in order to be sure that user's home are mounted
before lightdm is started (otherwise things are bad.. very bad).

The solution posted in comment #27 disables the standard behaviour of
the Right-Ctrl key. It is annoying for most users! (I first thought that
my keyboard was broken).

I want to add that, when saying 'stupid', I don't mean to be offensive
to anybody but only want to point out that, sometimes, some design
decisions may turn out as wrong decisions. 'Wrong' because a significant

Just my opinion: The 'up' button is one single-click and very
convenient, for me more convenient than 'previous' and 'next'. I think
it would be much better if the user could configure/decide which buttons
are

The new behaviour in 12.04 LTS is OK for me. When a window of an other
desktop overlap a little bit the current desktop (but not too much), the
current desktop changes so that the user can see all the window.

I've recently installed ubuntu 12.04 and I'm using gnome classique
(gnome-panel.) Eveything is fine except that I have a problem when using
'add-to-panel' (super-key + alt + right-click): it works with anything
but 'indicator-applet-complete', ie nothing is added to the panel.
Tryed to install ATI proprietary drivers on Toshiba U500-11C on Ubuntu
12.04 x64 daily build on March 27th.
