My system was using the proprietary Nvidia driver prior to the upgrade to 12.10, and after the upgrade continued to use the proprietary driver. I switched to the open source nouveau driver, and so far, I have not seen the menu problem come up. I also have not seen the problem where the latop scre

Steps to reproduce. Work with LibreOffice Writer as a normal user would. There is no apparent specific action which triggers the loss of menu functionality. I just am working on the document as normal, and need to go to Format Paragraph, or File Open, etc. and it just does not work. Closing Libre
