When I suspend my laptop and start using it again, screen brightness is
always at a maximum. When I then adjust the screen brightness, it all of
a sudden remembers the state it was in before suspending (usually the
lowest setting).

It seems from the Polish translation of Transmission that there is no
string called just "Otwórz..." anymore.
In fact, unless I'm mistaken it seems that the relevant strings were
translated before this bug was filed, which leads me to think if the bug
is actually that the string on the picture was

I just had the same problem, but I found out that it was because I
disactivated the wireless by the option in the indicator menu without
remembering to turn it on again. Still the text read "wireless is
disabled by hardware switch", which was not true. I think the text could

After upgrading to 12.10 it takes about five minutes to boot my system
while the system load goes crazy and unity occasionally crashes once or
twice in the process. Looking at my syslog the only syspicious lines is
Nov 4 20:30:58 zelito rtkit-daemon[2524]: The canary thread
Error reappeared after half a year...and dbus-launch seems to work in
the terminal, but no window pops up.
