Verified on 96.0a1 and 97.0a1 that the top side is rounded and look good
on Wayland session under Ubuntu 20.04. Although while getting the
notification to make Firefox as default, a dim effect is active and the
rounded parts have corners because of that (
I was able to reproduce the window issue on Firefox 87.0b5 wayland
session under Ubuntu 20.04 by following the info provided in Comment 0.
The issue is fixed and the indicator appeared on the left side of the
screen on Firefox 90.0b5 on the same system.

Tried again reproducing this issue (following some leads from Bug
1689032 as well) in order to verify this on Firefox 85.0.2 and on ESR,
but had no luck.
Tried creating dirty profiles (adding addons, cache from websites, etc),
installing and uninstalling the browser, updating it over and over from
Reproduced the issue on Firefox 83.0 under Ubuntu 20.04 and Windows 7 by
verifying google maps and low performance from the link found in Comment
23.
The 3D map works, and the performance is good for the link found in
Comment 23 on Nightly 87.0a1 (2021-02-03) and Firefox 86.0b5 under
Ubuntu 20.04
I was unable to reproduce the issue by using Firefox 85.0a1 (2020-11-30)
after and before updating it, under macOS 10.15.7.
It seems that the reporter says the fix is working (see Comment 16 and
Comment 17), so I will remove the qa+ flag based on that. If further
