I'm facing the same issue, on this particular laptop, on all 14.04
variants; Xubuntu, Lubuntu and even the latest Mint (Mate).

Trying the USB live session of 14.04 i-386 on my laptop but the keyboard
isn't responding. I'm filing this bug against xorg as stated in the
'DebuggingKeyboardDetection' wiki page. I plugged in a USB keyboard in
order to be able to file this report.

libreoffice spreadsheet template crashes after pressing the 'preview'
button

To reproduce the bug:
1- Create a LibreOffice spreadsheet template (and save it and close it)
2- Open the template (and select any cell)
3- Press the 'preview' button in the Standard Toolbar. After about 1 or 2
seconds LibreOffice crashes.
