This hits me on 14.04 as well with an updated google-chrome. So perhaps
this is a google-chrome bug?

that X comes up, I don't see unity - no common toolbar on the top, no

Please find my Xorg.0.log and Xorg.0.log.old attached. I see Xorg win
sometimes (1 out of 5 reboots?).

Fresh install of 13.04 dev on this desktop machine with an Nvidia
graphics.
Nouveau only shows the "system is running in low-graphics mode" dialog and
doesn't allow reconfiguring.
Nvidia-current drivers give a desktop but X crashes very often.
12.04 worked just fine on this
