open several windows of one application type (gnome-terminal is good, but
anything will do)
hover over the launcher icon and use the mouse wheel to scroll between them,
raising windows one after another, scroll back and the sequence is not reversed.

the setting has changed in 13.10, it is now a declarative part of the .scope
file. Online searching lenses have to declare themselves as being online lenses
by using the RemoteContent=true flag in the .scope file. If that is set then
those lenses won't be queried when the privacy flag is set. Th
adding this line to a file in /etc/udev/rules.d sorts out my issue

the mouse keys setting in the pointing and clicking tab of universal access
preferences allows you to control the mouse cursor using the numeric keypad.
This moves really really slowly, one pixel at a time. Using the xkbset command
it is possible to adjust the speed and rat
works OK with tab and shift tab to move the cursor position around and
space to select. The trick is that the last item in the list is OK -
which may be off screen. Not an a11y issue (screen reader is perfectly
happy to read off-screen items).

daily live cd boots silent in virtual
it *might* be triggered by performing activity on the smaller laptop
screen, today I logged on and was happily doing stuff on the external
monitor then moved a window across to the laptop screen, typed something
and it flipped, the end of the xorg.0.log is:

I have successfully tested the code in darxus's ppa and it works great
for the regular desktop and also allows GTK clients to run in the weston
compositor. Would be rather smashing to get this in to Quantal from the
start.

this is a bit of a gtk bug in the ellipsize method of the gtk_lable. It
resizes vertically to the height of the default text, but doesn't
consider the pango formatted bit around the song title. Forcing
the widget to request a height of 25 seems to fix it nicely.

what should we do with it? ripping it out seems harsh as people can use
gnome shell on Ubuntu. Could we add some things to poke compiz enhanced
zoom into life, and show those bits when compiz is running and the
gnome-shell stuff when it isn't? Not sure we have a zoom solution at all
with Unity 2d.

gnome-control-center universal access panel has a switch for a screen
magnifier and a further dialog with a heap of settings presumably for
gnome-mag which is not installed in Ubuntu by default. Having installed
the gnome-mag package these settings still do nothing.

I have had this a number of times when moving the mouse between
monitors, the mouse cursor freezes on the transition and all control is
lost, can't ctrl+alt+f1 to get to a terminal even. I can ssh into the
machine and restart lightdm, but restarting just unity did nothing. I
think this has happened
removing libreoffice-gtk seems to let it start and work normally whilst
dropping some Ubuntu integration until the fix lands.
