We believe the original bug is fixed in webkit2gtk 2.42.2 and higher on
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and newer with disable-dmabuf-nvidia.patch
My understanding is that Ubuntu's Nvidia drivers include libnvidia-egl-
gbm1 but Debian's drivers do not so that shouldn't be an issue.

I have the same problem, this bug has been around for quite some time as
it seems. Is there no fix available?
I have this problem with multiple machines, but I don't even find any
useful information about the copymods package aside from this bugreport
and the related posts.

When using pipewire, sound doesn't play through HDMI. In KDE Audio
settings, choosing the HDMI output and playing test sound fails with IO
Error. Playing to the internal speaker works.
If I use Pulseaudio instead, sound plays normally.
The controller is Alder Lake PCH-P High
It's not related to the configure arguments, but to the linker flags.
The Ubuntu package build sets
LDFLAGS="-Wl,-Bsymbolic-functions -flto=auto -ffat-lto-objects
-Wl,-z,relro -Wl,-z,now"
while Debian uses
LDFLAGS="-Wl,-z,relro -Wl,-z,now"
lto seems to work, but dropping the "-Wl,-Bsymbolic

would match that so please check to see if it's caused by a local
extension. To do that please run:
