Problem occurs with "ubuntu-drivers install" beforehand, and in trying
to resolve resorted to manual nvidia drivers install approach. Problem
recurs anyway.
Now not sure is nvidia issue as sometimes bluetooth does not get
recognized as now (in this session).

On Ubuntu 22.04, I have switched 'temporarily' to transmission-qt.
sudo apt install transmission-qt
Then you can create an alias to temporarily replace the faulty
'transmission-gtk'.

Hmm.. Suddenly I could no longer type in the address bar of the Firefox
snap. But I think the culprit is glib2.0 2.75.3-3, which I installed
from -proposed yesterday in order to test build g-c-c from
ubuntu/master. After having downgraded glib2.0 to 2.74.5-1 the issue is
