Same issue on Ubuntu MATE as well (as tested on hirsute daily build). On
Xubuntu, when I ran `gnome-software` from terminal, I see following
error (last line is when I clicked on 'Restart & Update' button).

nautilus crashes when I try to create a symbolic link via drag and drop:
1. open an arbitrary folder in nautlus
2. hold 'Alt' and drag and drop a file
3. a context dialog will open with options to move, copy or link the file

ok - under UB - I saw the restart button after installing. Clicking on
it restarted UB - then I saw updates installing via plymouth on a reboot
... it rebooted again and there are no more updates.
Note - for UB our default is not to have updates via gnome-softwar
