Title pretty much says it all: I'm testing Ubuntu Hirsute (21.04), fully
upgraded as of today (Gnome-shell 3.38.3) and the osk keys for Backspace, Enter
and Capitalize as well as for collapsing the keyboard do not work. Pressing
them just does nothing.

"libreoffice" meta package (that is not seeded on the ISO), *then* it

Having the schema in GDM was our initial proposal but you told us that
it would be better to do it the way we just proposed and do it in an
independent schema as long as it is not yet accepted upsteam. In both
cases there will be a migration *if* something similar is ever
implemented in gnome-shell
Not sure if the gsettings schema change should be part of gdm though, as
if this will ever be upstreamed that's where it will belong.
