Hi Humphrey, to help me prepare a summary for the programmers, could you post
the exact steps to reproduce?
For example,
1. Open nautilus
2. right click on (what type of file?)...
3
And could you attach a screen print of the "other applications" menu,
showing that ghex is missing?

Trying to load the attached DOCX results in a hang. I force-quit after
20 minutes. The DOCX was created in MS Word (2013 I think), and is
about 450 pages, thousands of footnotes, but no graphics AFAIK.
I am using the latest package provided by snap. LibreOffice 6.1.2.1.

I agree, it's just quite hard to reproduce.
I've debugged it for a while, but really I don't see anything wrong in
st related to this. I'd need a core dump to be able to interact with gdb
better.

Let me give an update on the situation. For more details, see the Debian
bug and its duplicate.
Tim split tracker-common out of tracker and pushed that change to the
Debian packaging. This fixed this issue, but a key Debian maintainer for
this package believed that this issue should be worked out

Tested with MSI PE70 7RD ( Intel i7-7700HQ and GeForce GTX 1050 ) and
Ubuntu 18.04 fresh install.
Proposed Packages install fine. Change of graphic with PRIME and log
out/in working fast and without problem. Nvidia driver is not loaded in
Power Saving Mode and power is OK ~10W idle. Led indicates

There was an update of the evince package some days ago. Seems like the
update don't contain the patch you sent but now opening a new window
from the evince menu does work. The new window menu for evince is still
missing in shell (right click on the launcher).
