Ubuntu 16.04; everything that should be blurred was black, e.g. Latte

I still have this problem, Anybody running the latest pulseaudio on
Raspberry Pi or CM3? I'm using pulseaudio 12.2 with bluez 5.50.
After I connected to a Bluetooth speaker. When play something, it's
really choppy and skipping a lot. The debug message shows:

Yup, pulseaudio doesn't start at all. When I run it with 'pulseaudio
-vv' to get the debug output, it ends with a SIGKILL. There's no daemon
running.

I know a temporary method, but it is not so nice (but it works, saves
~400MB RAM): run after login
sudo killall -u gdm
killall gnome-software
One more, clear gnome-calendar. It launches automatically, uses
constantly 2-400MB RAM
It worked on the release which I flagged it for. As this doesn't surface
now, I see little point in verifying this with a working environment
which I would have to heavily tweak in order to reproduce this now.

Clicking on each of these links resulted in a 404 error. I am very
interested and willing to work this issue but I also know your time is
valuable. I have established a work around by setting my system to auto
logon. That bypasses the offending condition. I have not run into the
blank s
It got worse in 18.04. Now the workaround does not work any more.
And it is ignored by GTK people.
