FYI: while trying to get the "disable keyboard while typing" back online
(is set to true in gconf and I'm testing gnome now before 18.04) the
touchpad got disabled for some reason. I only changed one setting in
gconf which should not disable the touchpad on login. Had to reinstall
xserver-xorg-inp
I tried all, all command other tried, but this failure remains ...
I am more USER then SW Engineer ...
What else can I do?

anyone else does the libinput swap. It defaulted my settings with Two-

I have this exact issue on a Dell Precision 5510. I tried the libinput
workaround along with modifying the settings as discussed above... and
it mostly works except now I cannot use right click. On this touchpad,
the click is by pushing the touchpad itself, not separate buttons.
