Today I started my pc and I was nopt able to have unity in my session, no
launcher and bar top bar present, only the desktop background populated,
nautilus works opening the windows, but I cannot close them because no buttos
available. I cannot open terminal via Ctr
I can also confirm that replacing the funky y aka ? in begin="?" with a
y fixes the issue. In fact, Mac OS X still doesn't display one element
from that .svg file, but that's probably due to gradients or fuzziness.
At least now Chrome and FireFox display it properly, which they did not
before.

I am able to reproduce this issue with gedit 3.10.4-0ubuntu7 on Ubuntu

I can confirm that with the current Xubuntu 14.04.1 LTS,
evince 3.10.3 has no longer rendering problems when
rotating a document.
While this is nice, it looks to me as it was solved by chance.
I think to improve a distro users should get the impression
