I managed to find the reason for the buttons not working: the Wacom option
'tabletpcbutton', which used to be 'off', is now 'on' by default. This can be
changed manually e.g. with 'xsetwacom', but is reset to 'on' after reboot.
I think it would be better if the default was still 'off' as it used

As a side note, the thinkvantage button also stops working.
The way to solve this problem is to use bumblebee and only turn on the

GtkWindow doesn't have a default maximum width anymore. I've filed an
upstream bug[1] with a patch that makes labels in that dialog wrap to a
sane width.

I have been trying to install proprietary ati drivers from amd website
but every time I reboot system it boots into black screen after which I
have to purge them.
Second problem arises when I try to install fglrx from Ubuntu repos
through terminal which doesnt allow me to ins

I had to switch permanently to Intel GPU. Nvidia driver makes the system
unusable for daily use. Such a shame.
Sadly, Ubuntu 12.04 (in early phase using Bumblebee) was smooth. With
each Ubuntu upgrade my problems gets bigger and bigger using the same HW
base.
