To follow on my issue: I was near my password expiration date (I had 2
days left). When I connected with OSX it asked me if i wanted to change

This bug is easy to reproduce.
1) Launch remmina, and remote into another computer.
2) Close the Connection Profile Manager (the window that lists all your
connection profiles)
3) Try to launch the Connection Profile Manager. It won't launch.

This looks like some generic mono migration problem. I guess it's fixed

Same problem here on Debian Wheezy 7.1 with network-manager 0.9.4.0-10,
but I eventually found a dirty workaround:

Confirming Shabang's workaround fixes my issue (as well as comment #22
and #23). I'm running 12.04.3 LTS w/ the latest updates. IIRC my
original install was 11.04 and I used the update-manager to upgrade my
release.

You're right. It was a oversight due to late time. I thought this patch
was added in -Xubuntu1 and then deleted. Of course I've already prepared
a appropriate merge debdiff. I'm sorry for mistake.
