After upgrading from 12.10 to 13.04 started having problems with video drivers:
1) Fully (!) Vanishes screen brightness on your laptop when you turn the
discrete graphics card.
2) When using a discrete graphics card laptop was often overheat.
3) Sometimes the expansion is set
Given that I filed this against Natty ;-) I can concur that it was fixed
somewhere between Natty and Raring (which I'm running now). More
probably before Precise, but in any case, resolved.

Editing sizemode="fullscreen" to "normal" solved the problem too.
