I'm running Ubuntu Lucid on a Dell XPS M1210 laptop. Nautilus uses ever-
increasing amounts of memory on my system (and a fair bit of the CPU,
too). This is new in Lucid. In Karmic, Nautilus usually used about
5%-10% of my memory (more if I was v

I'm using Nautilus 2.28.1 on Ubuntu Karmic. When I attach my external

contents. The problem is that the window opens in the foreground but

I'm pretty sure I was still experiencing this bug with the latest update,
but I can't check at the moment because a separate issue is preventing Gnome
from loading.

I have filed a report for a more severe bug that may be related at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/303461 . Same setup, except
pretty much every gnome app crashes on startup rather than just the
terminal.

I am not sure that it is the same. Jsteinhart's fix only partially fixed
the problem for me, but it sounds like it was successful for most of the
people there.

I, too have been experiencing this bug with Ubuntu Intrepid.

Not as far as I can tell. I wasn't able to find any error messages or
anything of the kind. It hasn't happened again since I filed the report, but
when it does, I will double-check.

It happened again, so I checked before restarting gnome-settings-daemon
and there doesn't seem to be anything reported about it. But I am kind
of new to Linux, so maybe I am not looking everywhere it might be

I tried this out with Oneiric, and I didn't get that error. Instead, I
got a whole bunch of other errors. EOG worked just fine, despite all the
error messages. I've attached a log of the new errors.
