Hi There: I'm an Australian resident and I finally managed to solve my problems with Totem - and VLC - with patiene and diligence, by using Google to seek what I needed to know i.e downloading Ubuntu Restricted Extras and appropriate DVD codecs. But I'm a newbie, and it took a helluva lot of work.
