based on this thread, I am trying to stay away from kernel 5.9 and
nvidia driver.
Since x11 session works perfectly with ryzen renoir gpu, nvidia driver
isnt really needed for the gpu to access external monit
I have also tried the latest kernel 5.9, the external monitors still
dont work but the flickering isnt as bad.

I have the same problem on both ubuntu 16.04 and 18.10.
The problem appeared after removing a logical partition from and extended.

Nano is not a gui desktop editor. Besides that vim is superior to nano in
my opinion. A viable alternative would be an open source editor like Atom,
but it can be useful to have a lightweight simple editor that doesn't blow
up with a big file and is installed by default.

The arrow is pointing up, but the sort is descending, starting with the biggest

The problem only appeared 3 days ago though, and from reading the above

that I am not using any network share. I do have an NFS server setup in

I can confirm this bug on 8.10 with Nvidia 5500 Graphics card and 1.73 version
of their driver on a dual X server setup.
It only happens when Visual appaearance is on normal.
When switching it to none and putting it back on normal, the problem does not

Yes, the sitaution is still the same:
- Hardy: hangs and times out, fails to connect
- Intrepid: DOES ask me (unlike Hardy) for the password, but alas, it also time
sout and fails to connect.
Epiphany can connect just fine if I just enter

Yep, Volume control still sluggish (0.5 second lag) in Hardy.
Intrepid has just been released, I will install it and report back soon.

BTW I am using Intrepid, maybe this is a regression from Hardy (assuming
