However, when I disconnect the HDMI cable (and the external screen is no longer
connected), the laptop display should pop back and activate.
This doesn't happen - the laptop display remains dark

I also have this problem. In addition, I have a script that runs every
few seconds using xrandr to check if my laptop is docked, and thus
changes to the correct resolution for my external. When I'm not docked
and I close my lid, xrandr ends up outputting the wrong resolution (ie,
it thinks it's at

Same thing here. Even a 500Mo file is a problem to me (occured on several
servers).
I can download the files ok through lftp.
Is there no setting available to the user for this timeout? I googled to no
avail... Only showed that FTP timeouts in Nautilus have been an annoyance for
years now :-(

On Xubuntu Hardy, with dbus-x11 installed, and newest f-spot update, I
still got the problem. However, after creating the dbus15 file as
explained in Bismark's post (and restarting X and deleting photos.db as

Ctrl + ["Up" tool button click] opens parent folder in new window

Since rebuilt of re-built gtk4 - as suggested by Florian Pflug - is way
beyond my skills, I followed Jon trick above, modified
/etc/gdm3/custom.conf and voilà: it worked!
In my case, setting TimedLoginDelay = 3 was enough to allow the system
behave properly.

I can confirm this bug. Computers with more than one sound card (in my
case ESI Juli@ and SAA1734) get random sound device list order. This is
extremely annoying. I had to come up with this to make sound on my tv-

Step-by-step reproducing howto:
Open a shortcut creation dialog. Press on the icon-button.
Try to change path to icons manually. For example put that path:
/opt/a (after you press "a" you dialog closes)
If you'll press icon-button one more time, you'll get "/opt/a" appears
in path.

Seb, if you look at http://launchpadlibrarian.net/18038517/image-
thumb.png, you will notice that when this bug was reported initially,
the RAW files were being rotated, and now they are not.
I believe RAW files do have orientation data in them. Opening the RAW
file in UFRaw does also show the cor

For me, opening the NEF from GIMP only brings up UFRaw, which then sends the
image to GIMP with the correct orientation. I have

I have discovered that the behavior of this bug is slightly different
than I wrote in the description. This I realized after messing around
