The slider of the toolbar volume-regulation widget does bit stay in
max/min position if the cursor leaves the slider area while dragging.
Instead the relative y-position on the element underneath the cursor
seems to be used to set the volume per
It's Ubuntu 9.10 with Gnome 2.28.1.
