The icon management in gnome-panel has never been perfect but today it's
really bad. Icons show up in several places so you really don't know
which one to click on. I guess a Maverick fix is out of the question but
I thought I'd report it anyw

Followed the instructions on

admin] and this time the computer doesn't reboot or restart but the
program doesn't save my configuration either.

I also tried purging and reinstalling ntp, same result. Internet time
configuration aren't saved when I close the Time and date window.

Yes and no; when I unplug the cable, a dialog comes up saying that
"Batteri power in laptop is critically low. The computer will be put in
sleep mode soon if it's not plugged in to an external power source" and
a notification saying "0:02 remain...". But the battery indicator applet

This bug is still present in the latest updates of Ubuntu 10.10. Not a
huge issue but still kind of unaestetical. Hope it's OK if I reopen it.

When I disconnect the power adapter from my laptop, I get a notification
saying that I have less than 4% battery power remaining and that the
system needs to be shut down, even though my battery is fully charged.
