This is with 10.4 netbook remix. I attached an external monitor, and

Since 13.04, the F3 key to split the screen in Nautilus doesn't work. I
understand this was removed because it didn't work with touch screens,
but I (and many others) do not use touch screens, and I miss the

but there is no right-click option 'open containing folder' for a file.
Worse yet, if you ask for the file's properties, the location field is
shortened to only show the initial part, so you can't even se

Well, why does one search for a file? I knew it was in there somewhere,
I knew approximately what it was called, and I wanted to find it. So I
used the Nautilus Go>Search for files (ctrl-F) functionality. But
Please also alter the Location field in the Properties dialog box so
that it isn't shortened, and you can see the full location.

That's exactly the problem. It never seems to use the *same* instance. A
new instance is always created whether you use -n or not.

I was browsing the images in /usr/share/backgrounds. All show a
thumbnail in Nautilus.
However, using eog to dispay /usr/share/backgrounds/warty-final-
ubuntu.png gives an error message:

browse the DVD, but it wouldn't play.
I could play unencrypted VOBs, but not encrypted ones.
If I did a "Show properties" of an encrypted VOB, Nautilus would crash.
I eventaully traced the problem: no region set on the DVD driv

nautilus crashed with SIG
More info: If I insert a blank disk, and answer the popup that I want to
burn a disk, then search for the iso image and copy it to the blank CD
folder and click on burn, it crashes.
However, if I search for the iso, right click and select 'open with
brasero' it works fine.

I was trying to burn a CD of Natty. I inserted a blank CD, and answered
the popup that I wanted to burn a CD. I searched for the iso, copied it
to the blank CD, and clicked on 'burn'. It asked if I wanted to burn the
contents of the iso or burn it as a file. I answered with 'contents',
and it crash
Natty is *much* worse for dual screens. Putting screens above each other
doesn't work at all for me (one of the screens gets garbled). Putting
them next to each other puts the Unity bar in the wrong place in both
cases, one slightly worse positioned than the other. Because of this it
is hard to see
