Binary package hint: gnome-session
gnome-session crashes X server.
If happens when I seelct gnome as my session from gdm or when I start an
xterm session and I run gnome-session from there.
In failsafe mode it does not crash.

I have also tried creating a new user and login as him but it crashes in
the same way, so, this is not caused by some custom gnome configuration
I could have.

When I switch from one virtual desktop to another using the keyboard
(i.e. ctrl-alt-left), sometimes it freezes and the X become completely
irresponsive. I have to go to the console and kill metacity in order to
recover it.
This is the backtrace I get if I attach to the metac
I have the same problem.
I've found the problem is on the text codification of the id3v2 tags.
When you codificate them in unicode (utf) Nautilus is no more able to show mp3
image.
