This is exactly the behavior I have experienced and it is just as
reproducible as described in comment #21 (nice job). I can recreate it
with the local address book or with an LDAP source.

I stand corrected. In bug report 405296 (dup of this one), I stated that
the problem seemed limited to local address book and could not recreate
