The newly created private bug with crash information is
#1810929 totem crashed with SIGSEGV
In spite of removing gstreamer1.0-vaapi, totem failed with the last error.
And yes - mpv plays the video and totem does not.

We located this problem when trying to load these .MOV videos in MATLAB
and GStreamer threw error regarding missing codecs. To cross-verify, we
tried playing it in mkv and vlc (which worked), but totem failed.

Reinstalling the nvidia-340 driver resolved the issue.
It was causing us a significant delay in our work. Thank you for helping
