Problem occurs 100% of the time on two Mint Cinnamon 64 bit machines
after the latest round of updates when shutting down or restarting from
whisker menu. 'shutdown (-r) now' works without an error.
The most commonly reported 'fix' for this problem is purging old
kernels. I just reinstalled 18.3 C

The emblems on folders in nautiuls are mapped by the name of the folder.
Renaming a folder with an emblem causes the emblem to dissaper. On
renaming the folder again to its original name the emblem appears again.

Yep, I guess this is the behaviour that I was reporting the initial bug
against. If I open a file on the desktop and then close that file, I
(personally) would expect focus to be given back to the desktop.
The problem is that focus is given to the highest (z-order) window,
rather than the most rec

I disagree that it's more likely what the user wants.
The focus is returned to the top most window (z order) rather than the
window that last had focus (desktop).
Take this use case:
1. user opens a file on the desktop to determine it's contents
2. they verify that the file is no longer needed an

Okay, further debugging reveals that if you put the phone to sleep with
a scope that requires location visible, the location updates are not
disabled.
Looks like this is a regression. The location service listens to when
scopes are marked as active/inactive, and they all used to be marked
inactive
I just put together a branch for unity-scopes-shell that logs when GPS
updates from the location service are being enabled and disabled:

Yes, upstream gtk+ has both fixes now. Cody Russell has done some work
on creating packages for us that incorporate both fixes, if the work he

I currently have 45 unread e-mails in my Junk folder (vfolder,
actually), but there are 211 e-mails in that vfolder altogether. In
order to view just the unread e-mail in that vfolder I use the "Show"
filter at the top of the message list and set it to "Unread Messages".

This appears to be resolved in Evolution 2.25.9x in Ubuntu 9.04. If
possible, I would suggest the fix be backported to Ubuntu 8.04, as that
is an LTS release.

When I enter a server url for my Google Apps calendar Evolution always
re-writes the url to use caldav://. According to the Google
documentation

Though admittedly it would be good to use a Google-specific plugin because that
means I can see all my calendars. :-)

You have to remove it from gconf (afaik).
- Exit evolution and run `evolution --force-shutdown` in a terminal.
- Then run `gconftool-2 --shutdown`
