song. This is messy and hard to manage.

It's often hard to find an entered command in the text of a terminal. A
simple solution to this would be to annotate the text entered by a user
(or pasted perhaps) with a colour, or underline, or similar.

If I run an application/script from nautilus by double clicking, and
that application returns an error, I get no notification that it failed.
As an example, my wife has a script which synchronises a local directory
and a webserver directory. Sh
It is a bug, the user is left with no indication that the program failed.
In any case, for the right person this is a 10 minute fix. And the
fastest way to get to the right person is to report a bug.
