Into nautilus "create archive..." context menu, file-roller waits 25 seconds
before opening, it is reproducible every time on every file or directory, for
example an 20kb .ods, a 600kb pdf o
Ok it works great with the guest account, but is there a way to fix?
it's strange because there is no cpu/memoty/network charge during this
delay. what happens during these 25 seconds?

I also have a 25 seconds delay when I'm running file-roller manually
through command line :
$ file-roller --add ./PDF/
there is no disk load during the operation, and the PDF directory is
empty... I don't know what is causing the delay in file-roller because
it doesn't display any message.

With my other computer, default settings :
1. create new podcast
2. enter the URL : http://rss.futura-sciences.com/fs/podcast
3. Dbl click on the first stream : download OK
4. go to podcast settings, set download location to /var/tmp
5. Dbl click on the second stream : download OK
6. I exit Ryth
thank you for registering the display bug into podcast preferences.
The problem of writing podcasts on a fat32 filesystem seams to be more
serious (Note that I have write permission on it...), do you want me to
create a new bug report for it?
