Ubuntu 9.10 rc
Using Nautilus, the time it takes to display files in (for example) the
/usr/bin directory with 1573 files takes 2 mins 23 seconds.
It seems the problem has to do with using 'icon' or 'list' view. I
always use list view and that causes it to take over 2 mins. If I use
icon view it

that has been forwarded as an attachment I cannot drag it from the

Ah... No.
Bug 529714 is on the Ubuntu One Music Store plugin. This PC, even
though it "is" having problems there, presently does not have it
installed-- and has other problems. I knew that "that"
've deleted over time and "files" which stores 178 items taking up 135
Gb. I don't have "enable delete command that bypasses trash" checked.

I'm now getting this error as well. nandox7, I think you've got it
pretty much nailed. The code is having trouble reading the partition
table or EBR or ? Not-too-coincidentally, yesterday I installed Paragon
B&R 10 FE on my Win7 partition, and was testing it by backing up and
restoring my Win7 part
This is currently occurring on about 40% of resumes for me (ubuntu
10.04), on a Dell Inspiron 1420N (sold with ubuntu). Just to clarify,
for me, I always see either behavior (a), or I see (b) followed by (c).

Update: Fixed my partitions and I'm no longer getting an error running
palimpsest. I imagine that gparted and other disk-oriented programs have
various ways of figuring out the partition structure even w/ slightly
messed-up partition tables, whereas palimpsest's method of enumerating

Thanks for the patch, so far so good.
I'm guessing that this patch is not in 2.6.28 version of gnome-panel.
This NEEDS to be included, There is nothing more annoying that having
your icons show up differently each time you login.

Wonder if it is a issue with dkms, since people on the forums who had
this problem were all using NVidia video drivers.
