Very often files many subfolders contain files with the same name as in
the folder you are browsing. Example: Makefiles, .git folders, etc. With
recursive search these files all show up without a clear way to
distinguish them. :(

Hi Eugene,
Any user-friendly instructions on how to install packages from your PPA?
Or which packages need to be replaced?
Thank you.

As far as I understood it can used with gnome-chat or whatever client
using telepathy library - once it's upstreamed of course.

Well, this is a bug in gnome-power-manager.
The /proc battery remains registered in hal all the time, but changes status
from present to not present.
it makes sense, since /proc file _is_ present anyway.
gpm detects, when it becomes not present, and changes icon accordantly.
But, the /sys batter
@hyperair, this does actually work, gpm works correctly when it is configured:
"only display icon when charging or discharging".
Since when you pull the battery out it can't do nether, and gpm
understands it, it hides the icon. what gpm doesn't understand let me
repeat, is that it was removed.
--
It is even worse, when you boot without battery, it will hide the
battery options, since it has no way to know if it is present.
Now thinking again about this, maybe kernel should change this behavier
first.
I use 2.6.30-rc2 btw.

gnome-settings-daemon doesn't help:
I do:

and it still fails with same message
It did work fine in 8.10
Now I can't open it nether from root nautilus or from remote share
and can't open like I said above

Cannot start gnome-terminal bcau
@Jim, this isn't what makes it fail.
The problem is that if I launch nautilus as root, I can't open terminal from
it.
I strongly suspect this bug prevents above from working
